Morrad Irsane has made a significant impact in the entrepreneurial world, as a French-
Algerian currently residing in Riyadh, he has founded and exited several multi-million dollar
companies across several continents, including the U.S., Europe, S.E. Asia and the Middle
East. The most notable exit, Melltoo, was an online peer to peer marketplace for secondhand
items that was acquired by the IKEA group in Saudi Arabia in 2022. Melltoo not only received
the Mobile app of the year by [Entrepreur.com](http://entrepreur.com/) (2016) but also was
among the top 50 Arab startups for 3 years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017) and was a 500 start-
up alumni. Morrad currently leads Takadao, a shariah-compliant, blockchain-native
cooperative insurance, which has earned support from billionaire venture capitalist Tim
Draper in their newly-announced pre-seed round. In 2023, Morrad had the honor of
representing Takadao at the renowned TechCrunch Startup Battlefield, a tech conference
featuring the top 200 global startups. He has also held various speaking engagements
including Startup weekend, GITEX, Step, ETHRiyadh and the African startup conference. His
influence extends beyond his ventures as he takes pride in being a Techstars All-Star Mentor,
where he guides and inspires emerging entrepreneurs to navigate the challenges and seize
the opportunities presented by the startup world.
